Chris learned photography and dark room technique in 1981 and 1982 from Wellington photographer Dave Mundel. As the result of a major detour through the computer and digital image industries Chris had, by the late 1990's, become a somewhat radical adopter of digital photographic equipment.

Chris began teaching digital photography at Inverlochy Art School in 2001. Chirs is a director of Wellington design studio theDesign.

Chris is happiest when he is riding his mountain bike, taking photographs, when solving a business problem through the use of good design,
when the team are all happy and as you can see from this photograph taken in Fiordland, when he has just come out of cold ocean water!

Chris is a member of AIPA, the Advertising and Illustrative Photographers Association
